The Wolf and The Tree patterns
Saskia is de ontwerper van de The Wolf and The Tree patterns. Zij is geboren in Duitsland en leerde kleding maken onder het toeziend oog van haar moeder. Saskia ontwerpt eenvoudige tijdloze kledingstukken voor zowel volwassen als kinderen. Je kunt aan haar patronen naar eigen inzicht eye catchers toevoegen.
The designer behind The Wolf and The Tree patterns is Saskia. She was born in Germany and learned sewing from her mother. Her designs have a kind of classic style. Her patterns are not only for adults but for children too. They invite you to add eye catchers just where you want them.
Mijn The Wolf and The Tree No Show Socks
Ik maakte de enkelversie. Je gebruikt twee patroondelen voor deze versie. Eventueel kun je ervoor kiezen om het teenstuk van een andere kleur maken. Omdat het mijn eerste paar waren besloot ik dit niet te doen. Hiel- en voetnaden worden eerste gestikt. Daarna stik je het biesje rond de enkel en klaar zijn de sokken. Een werkje van niets.
I made the anklets. This version is made of two pattern pieces. You can also make a colourblocked version but I decided to make this version another time. The top to the toes is sewn first and then the sides. Turn the socks, sew the cuff on and the first pair of anklets are ready to step into.
The Wolf and The Tree No Show Socks pattern
Je hebt een stof met minstens 40-50% stretch. Met dit patroon kun je voor de hele familie sokken maken. Naadwaarden zijn toegevoegd. Voor de enkelversie zijn er 3 verschillende naadwaarden. 1/2’’ voor de sokken, 3/8’’ voor het biesje en 1/8’’ voor de hiel.
These The Wolf and The Tree No Show Socks are made of knit fabric with at least 40% stretch. Seam allowances are added. The anklet version has 3 different seam allowances. 1/2’’ for the anklets main, 3/8’’ for cuff bands and 1/8’’ for the heel.

Pattern alterations for the no show socks pattern
Als je goed kijkt kun je zien dat ik mijn sneakersokken met de locker heb gestikt. Ik heb hiervoor de naadwaarden aangepast zodat deze overal 7 mm was. Wil je dit ook wilt doen? Het lukt alleen als je beschikt over een locker waarbij je het bovenste snijmes kunt uitschakelen.
If you take a good look you will notice that I made my anklets with a serger. I altered the seam allowances and made them 7 mm. You want to sew with a serger too. This will only work when you’re able to disengage the upper knife of your serger.
