This WBM Sille blouse short sleeve version is released today and one of the two versions of the newest design from Christina Albeck. She’s the woman behind all the Wardrobe by Me Wardrobe patterns. She showed us this design at the end of 2019 and I knew if there was a call for testing I would sign up.

Er is ook een Nederlandse versie van de WBM Sille blouse short sleeve version.

WBM Sille blouse short sleeve version

The Sille blouse

This button front blouse has a gathers at the neckline, dropped shoulders and a curved hem. There are two options for the collar edges: round or square but also two options for the sleeves: long sleeves with a cuff or short cuffed sleeves. You can also make the blouse with or without a pocket.

I like wearing blouses in the Spring and Summer so the short sleeved version was my choice. This blouse looks bit like the WbM Tulip Top: it has almost the same shape and is also a little bit oversized.

The Sille blouse pattern

This pattern has 31 pages but you only print the ones you need and is designed for height 172 cm. Another great advantage: The Wardrobe by Me patterns are always easy to stick together because the pages are trimless.

The front placket has three layers so no interfacing is needed. This means that the placket isn’t going to be stiff but still is firm enough to sew the buttonholes and keep the buttons.

My WBM Sille blouse short sleeve version

This pattern comes with 10 mm seam allowance around all edges of the pattern pieces and 20 mm for the hem. The instructions together with the illustrations will help you step by step to make this blouse. Even a not so confident seamstress can make this blouse.

I used a thin light weighted 100% viscose with a mustard yellow cat print on black fabric. This 140 cm fabric is bought at Sikkes. The fabric requirements (1,5 meter) is in my opinion a bit to much for the small sizes. My version has size 6 (size 36) and I used only one meter.

Time and Costs

Time: pattern assembling 30 minutes; finding pattern layout and cutting 2 hours; stitching and finishing 6 hours

Costs: being a pattern tester this pattern was free for me; print- and assembling costs € 3,70; fabric € 8,95; yarn € 2,50; interfacing for collar € 0,25; buttons came from my button box

End result

This slightly oversized blouse is great to wear during the more warmer days in Spring and Summer. The Sille blouse is a pleasure to wear due to the soft and thin fabric.

The collar can be closed with button as well. A next version will have a more high/low finish. I will at least take off half of the curved front hem.
Do you also like this blouse and want to make one too? The Wardrobe by Me Sille blouse is now on sale for $ 10,00 instead of the $ 12,00 until 02-07-2020.
