Elastic Tie Sweater from Assembly Line

Assembly Line is a new Swedish Indie pattern designer. Their designs have that famous stylish Scandinavian and minimalistic look. This Elastic Tie Sweater is a perfect example of this type of design. The pleated col is held together with an elastic cord. These pleats have the function of darts. Fabric suggestions for this Elastic Tie Sweater: jeans, wool en canvas. I bought this pattern at Stik&Stof. This shop just started selling a few Assembly Line pattern and lucky for me the Elastic Tie Sweater is one of them.

Patty Doo Geo-Bag denim version

In the meantime it is almost halfway October. Time to start making homemode gifts for the coming holidays. I set the Patty Doo Geo-Bag on my ‘sewing ideas for Sinterklaas and Christmas list’ as soon as this pattern was alive. This Patty Doo Geo-Bag is such a genius pattern. You fold an odd shaped piece of fabric, stitch a seam, fold again and like matching it begins to look like a bag. This pattern comes in two sizes. A big size to make a toiletry bag and a smaller version for a cosmetics bag. I made my version of a discarded jeans and dress shirt.

Sew Magazine Clementine Cat well-dressed

I’ve a few new sewing projects but also some sewing techniques on a ‘I want to make/do list’. So now and then I sew soft toys like a sloth, pig, fox and a rag doll.
Until now all these soft toys weren’t able to move their arms or legs. So on my sewing techniques list was exploring how this can be done.
A while ago I saw this Sew Magazine Clementine Cat. This cat has visible buttons joints for arms and legs. Perfect item for my technique project.

Chique Homemade basic Autumn dress

Youngest daughter and I went again to Holland Stoffenhuis in Leiden. I had a Elle Puls pattern that needed to be tested and had to buy suitable fabric. We always take a look in the remnant bin and youngest daughter found a piece of fabric with wybert pattern in ecru, black and gold. She’s very pleased with her Homemade basic T-shirt dress and asked me if the piece of fabric was enough to make another one. Lucky for her it was just enough. So now we had both a suitable fabric and after paying we went back home.

Zonen09 Theo overhemd poloshirt version

After a long and sometimes hot summer Autumn is peeping around the corner. Now the Summer is coming to an end in the northern hemisphere and days are slowly getting shorter so evening and nights are slowly getting longer. Sometimes September but also October can bring some nice, warm days. So I made a Zonen09 Theo overhemd poloshirt version for the ‘Sew Long Summer 2018’ Blog Tour.

Style Arc Blaire Shirt size 8

This Style Arc Blaire Shirt size 8 is for my mother. Recently Style Arc had a 25% discount on their patterns. The Blaire Shirt had caught my eye and with 25% discount it was a very good deal. When you order a Style Arc patterns you get three sizes. I wanted size 4 so with my order size 6 and 8 were included. I want to use this pattern for the Let’s Sti(c)k Together September theme but need to work out some more details. In the meantime I started testing a new Elle Puls pattern. You can see this Thursday what it will be. A generous piece of the fabric was left after testing and was just enough to make a Style Arc Blaire Shirt size 8 for my mother.

WardrobebyMe Summer Tulip Top floral print version

Clothes with floral prints can be seen each year on the catwalk. A floral print can give a plane looking skirt, jeans or plane looking blouse a complete different look. This floral print came from my stash. I bought this fabric more then four years ago soon when I started making my own clothes. This remand was about one meter, a soft and light cotton with a little shine. This fabric came several times on the table but I never found a suitable pattern for it. A few weeks ago Wardrobe by Me offered several of their patterns with 20% discount. I had spotted the Summer Tulip Top and decided to make it from floral print fabric.
